We are excited to prepare a series of Artistic Natural Dye Workshops in 15 & 28 November 2025 at The Art Faculty (20 Lengkok Bahru, #01-07, Singapore 159053). Dive into the artistry of natural indigo dyeing as we create exclusive silk scarves and beautiful hand-print tote bag together. Embrace the joy of crafting while bonding with your loved ones in a memorable experience. Each participant will have a fresh drink made on site.

Workshop 1: Natural Plant Paste Painting Tote Bag Workshop on 15&28 Nov
In this hands-on session, participants will explore the art of plant-based dyeing, creating their own tote bag (37cm*38cm) and a pouch with beautiful natural colors extracted from leaves, fruits roots or stems of plants materials. You will begin by choosing from a variety of stencil designs and natural pigments to create unique patterns on plain white fabric.
Time: 15 Nov (Sat) 10am-12am; 28 Nov (Fri) 2pm-4pm
Location: 20 Lengkok Bahru, #01-07, Singapore 159053
Learners will learn:
(1). An overview of how the natural colors extracted from different plants materials.  
(2). Learn to use plant-based paste painting tool and hand-printing skills.
(3). Paint on a tote bag (37cm*38cm) and a pouch (13cm*16cm).
Duration: 2 Hours.
This immersive workshop combines design, craftsmanship, and sustainability, offering every participant a meaningful keepsake to take home.

Workshop 2: Indigo Shibori Dye Silk Scarf Workshop on 15 Nov (Sat) 2pm-5pm
With a rustic charm, vibrant color and exclusive pattern, you will get two natural indigo dyed daily-wear silk scarves (55cm*55cm & 68cm*68cm) after this workshop. You can practice and explore your own unique shibori motifs. Let's make a unique gift for you or your loved ones.  
Time: 15 Nov (Sat) 2pm-5pm.
Location: 20 Lengkok Bahru, #01-07, Singapore 159053
Learners will learn:
(1). Bai ethnic traditional indigo tie dye techniques, like folding, clamping, tying with common objects and stitching skills to create patterns.
(2). An overview of how beautifully indigo is prepared from plant to pigment.
(3). Make two indigo tie dyed daily-wear silk scarves (55cm*55cm & 68cm*68cm).
Duration: 3 Hours.

 

Please note that workshop slot may be rescheduled should the minimum class size of 3 pax is not met. You will be notified of any changes at least 2 days before the workshop.
