It is one of very traditional shibori/ needle dye techniques by natural plants dye which Bai people used to make ethnic fabric patterns for clothes and home decors. The process of making is tying the fabric with thread to make different folds and putting it into a dye vat several times until the color become darker. The variations in color and pattern are part of its unique characters and there are some tiny stitching holes remain on the fabric due to the handmade process. This is a classic housewarming decor as tablecloth or wall hanging. Each piece is unique and the tie-dyed fabric needs to be washed by cold water separately. Hand wash recommended.
